The African Beat Story

Authentic tradition, crafted for modern audiences.

Rooted in centuries-old African rhythm, African Beat was founded to share the exuberance, power, and togetherness of communal drumming across Australia. Every session — whether in a kindergarten circle, a corporate boardroom, or a major university stadium — is delivered with generous energy, musical mastery, and drums handcrafted by traditional artisans.

Based in Sydney, our troupe and instruments travel across Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, and Canberra. We supply the drums, the rhythm, and the facilitators — you bring the audience.
